Feature
- Jette Scheib was inspired by basketry. Basket weaving is a traditional craft practiced all over the world and passed down from generation to generation
- Socket E27
- It is a long process that takes calm, patience and skill. In the past, this was often done at home in the evening, after a days work in the fields
- The materials used are obtained from herbs and plants native to the surrounding landscape
- With this choice to take up one of the oldest artisanal techniques, rooted in the earth, Jette Scheib pushes to the extreme his creative process whose finality is not one more object
- but the interaction between the object and the person, source of well-being. For the designer, the basket maker gesture is similar to a meditative gesture, and the basket is an emotional object
